Mormons in Da Club

Hello School Mates, I have recently been involved in just a little bit with the reunion plans and the FIRST thing I want to say is "THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" to Lynn and Shana because they have really gone above and beyond! I'm really impressed!

Since I have been involved with a little of the planning, I thought it would be helpful to clarify some of the details about the Ghost Bar activity Saturday night. I suspect most of you recall that I don't drink alcohol. Even though I grew up here in Vegas I am pretty oblivious to the "club scene". To be honest, I don't even know how to order a water at a bar.
Here is what I'm thinking "Do you pay for water? Should I tip for water? Do I seriously have to drink water all night?" I'm clueless. SOOOO....I suspect that there are many of my classmates who might share some of these same anxieties and maybe not just about the drinking but about hanging out in a club in the first place.

Here's the deal...WE WILL HAVE THE ENTIRE PLACE TO OURSELVES! From 6-8 pm that night the ONLY people that get to come in are the people with our reunion and by buying your package online you get on the list, unlimited food and drink during that time as well as access to everything else great planned that weekend! At 8 it opens to the public, but we will still have a VIP section just for our group. So its really up to you if you want to stay in our section and catch up with people or if you want to just enjoy the club. Both options will be available. I can't get over how cool this opportunity is! Its not like we're having our event at the Elk's Lodge! Its at one of the best venues in town with an incredible view! I'm stoked because I don't think its likely I would ever go there otherwise!

Dude! I'm going to be 5 months pregnant and there hanging out...so if I can come! You can come! We really really want to see everyone. That is one of my favorite recollections of our high school class that is totally unique. I felt like we got along well with each other regardless of your "style", music tastes, religion, etc. We were just great friends! I'm so excited to see what's gone on with all of you!

BHS Reunion for the Class of 1978!!!

GOING BACK TO BONANZA!!!

So We took a little trip back memory lane yesterday...that's right...Bonanza. As we drove up all I could think about was how we couldn't wear shorts that were higher than our arms reach, how we only had 30 minutes to get to lunch and Dagwoods was the spot, and the feeling you got when you walked by Mrs. Barnsons room...

So there we were...We ran into a few people like Mrs. Pointer, counselor for those of you with last names beginning with M-R, Mrs. Sweikart, and our lady of the halls!! The school looks better..it has a theatre, a real theatre with a box office and all.

The best part about our trip was a visit to Mrs. Ditto's office where we discovered that not only will the class of 98 be representing at the homecoming game..but the class of 1978 will be there as well. That is right folks...those black and white photos that line the halls of our school will be there in the flesh celebrating the first graduating class of Bonanza High School!!! We are so excited to meet them and celebrate with them!!!

So here is the latest:

Bonanza has invited us to the game to participate in a float, Summer are you out there...you were our QUEEN so we need you to ride in the float. That is if we can get any of us to help make it...Wendy's napkins anyone?hehehe but wait it gets better!

They invited us to go to the assembly that day....the senior assembly....hahaha can you believe how long ago that was. So if there are any takers...please let us know. So not only will this be a big celebration for us, but an even bigger one for Bonanza...we are so excited and we hope that you are too. Want to hear something funny...before we even contacted them we thought of the whole red carpet Hollywood theme...well guess what the theme is for Homecoming?

In order to make this happen we need to give a deposit to the Palms, and in order to give this deposit we need to have money. And you guessed it...the money is coming from you...I know we are all fashionably late, but we need you to buy your tickets now or this may not be what we want it to be... rest assured those of you who have made their "donations" will live it up...just know that everyone else will miss out on the fun...did I mention we will have local celebrities :o)

So...gather those dusty boxes, and pull out that yearbook and take a moment to remember those times..I trust that if you do...you will be just as excited as we are...

A Location for Saturday's Event Has Been Picked...

Yes, we have been "hooked up" (Thanks to a 98 grad and friends) with one of the HOTTEST spots in Las Vegas to hold our Saturday Night Event. This place will be complete with a red carpet entry, overflow of food and drinks, PLUS all the memorabilia and music from the best graduating class, BHS 1998! But wait! It gets better! There will be packages that include the full Monty with hotel stay, the Friday Night Game, Saturday Night Event, and Sunday's Family Day and or maybe you just want to attend one or two of the events- no problem. But you won't want to miss Saturday night!!!

We're working on the price and will have the secured final pricing for all packages by the end of the month. ***PLEASE NOTE*** We must have at least 200 guests to make this thing happen. Call the old crew, bring your spouses and dates, let's fill this place with those cute 98 faces- we had over 600 in our class- we can do it right?
